Inspired by the shape of the Mallorcan pine, the Niua armchair evokes the movement and volume of its canopy through the cushion, which rests upon the solidity of the trunk as its structural base.
The piece is crafted from three natural elements: pine wood for the structure, cotton canvas naturally dyed by Rosa for the seat base and cushion, and wool filling for the padding.
The pine used was reclaimed from trees that fell during the 2023 snowfall in Mallorca. The Pinus halepensis, seemingly slender and delicate, is in fact a highly resilient tree capable of withstanding droughts and storms.
